Office of the Mayor - Mayor Scruggs in the Community

Glendale, AZ - Mayor Scruggs in the Community The New York Stock Exchange closing bell was rung in Glendale on the Friday prior to the Super Bowl in an effort to recognize all Arizona listed NYSE Companies and celebrate the Super Bowl in Arizona.  This is the first time that the bell has been rung in conjunction with the Super Bowl.  Several local CEO's and Chairmen joined Mayor and Council, the Arizona Super Bowl Host Committee and Governor Napolitano to ring the bell from the roof of the parking garage adjacent to the Glendale Media Center at Westgate. The photo of the bell ringing were sent to the New York media center where it was beamed around the globe to over 60 million people.  It is the most viewed image in the world each week.
